A precious member of our family has been missing since September 19th - this is an urgent all points bulletin!
Our Ani is a 1.5-year-old, black/white, domestic longhair cat - here is a recent photo, taken on her one-year adoptiversary with one of her favorite toys, a SLC keychain from Auntie Fifi:

Ani was last seen in Burbank, Calif., at her home on Lincoln St. near Victory Blvd. and Buena Vista St. She was wearing a flea collar with no ID tag at the time.
More identifying photos of Ani are available at Flickr.com
We have been diligently searching for her by walking the area calling for her, checking the shelters, pet hospitals and local vet offices, distributing flyers to neighbors and local businesses. I can't tell you how kind and supportive everyone has been during the search - thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Ani knows her backyard well, and the general vicinity, but may have been disoriented during the recent rains. She is a human-friendly cat, and we believe that an animal-loving good samaritan may have taken her in, and thinking she was a stray, decided to keep her.
But she does have a home, with us, and we love and miss her very much.
We are offering a reward. Please contact me at (818) 288-3380 or via email at [email protected] if you have any information that will help us bring Ani home where she belongs.
Thank you for your assistance!
Update 3/17/2008 ~ Sadly, Ani has not returned home as of this update. Wherever she is, I hope that she's safe and happy. As the months have gone by, hope has dwindled but we still love her and would love to be reunited. Please, if you have any information about her whereabouts, contact me at the information listed above. Thank you.
Any luck with Ani? I am hoping the news is good.

I so hope you guys find Ani! A few years ago our JoJo went missing in our neighborhood and after a month with no word - door-to-door, flyer's, phone calls, etc - we were beginning to give up hope. Then a neighbor heard a cat meowing plaintively next door to her apartment, and they found our JoJo stuck under the decking! He was skinny and malnourished, a little dazed, but otherwise healthy. We brought him to the vet the next day just to be sure. Years later, he's as happy & healthy as ever. Just don't give up hope! I hope your Ani-story turns out as happy as our JoJo-story! {hugs} ^_^
