I spend most of June in Michigan, helping my Mom and our family out as she recovered from a stroke. While I was away my beloved Jackpot passed away in his sleep, on June 19th. He was a complete joy to have in my life and I miss him tremendously. Still processing the grief, some days are better than others.
"If there is a heaven, it's certain our animals are to be there. Their lives become so interwoven with our own, it would take more than an archangel to detangle them." ~ Pam Brown

Jackpot was a senior shelter cat who overcame adversity including blossoming out of a depression after having had his home, family and brother/close companion taken away from him at the age of 12, and battling back from a deadly saddle thrombus.
Currently, I'm currently crafting a self-published memoir about his triumphant last few years ~ which I had the blessing and honor of sharing with him ~ with proceeds to benefit the Burbank Animal Shelter where our story together began. More on that as time goes on.
In the meantime, here's a little video tribute in his honor, and the beginnings of a memorial page. I love you, Jackpot ~ Best Boy-fur-iend Ever! ♥ xoxo
