Great article...so nice to see that Michael is resting in a beautiful place. Hope to visit one day.

As to the Karen Faye pictures....I am a fan. When I was on her site I never saw Karen's pictures of the tomb....however, one of her fans had the pictures. I questioned this fan how she obtained them and never got an answer. Tried to find this person on Karen Fayes FB a few days later and I could not find her...and I dont remember the name.

dear erin

many thanks for yr info i hope that maybe in the future the flc will ease up on their rules after all elvis and other celebrities graves are open to the public

Thanks for the comments everyone, and background on the photos. Laura, when I heard about the photos I was able to view them on KF's album for a post titled This Is Real, via a direct link even though I'm not on her friends list. They weren't locked down, anyone could have nabbed them without permission using the same link. It's a flaw in the FB system, albums are not automatically locked down. That link no longer works:

Thank you, was there meself last week at Forest Lawn.
Got what I wanted...Finally with troubled patience...lol
You still doing great work.
Thank you for the map off Holly Terrace section, really wanted to have that one.
I think they were very nice at Forest Lawn to me,went every day with flowers.
Purchased property myself at the Dawn of Tomorrow.
But I truly think that Michael belong to his fans and that he would appreciated if he had fans around who could pay their respects.
sincerely Janneke

I enjoy spending time exploring cemeteries, reading and photographing headstones of celebrities and civilians alike, and learning about the lives and deaths of these so-called "permanent residents" of the graveyards and mausoleums. This blog chronicles those experiences.

One of the cemeteries I'm most interested in these days is Grand View Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif. I wrote about its legal problems for the LA Daily News' community hub, ValleyNews.com from August 2006 to December 2008, when Valley News ceased operations. In response to reader requests to have one central source of information, I created and continue to maintain Grand View Memorial Park (dot) Info.
