It seems like "celebrity" news can be reported without any thought to truth or integrity.Even the major news outlets and reporters don't apply even basic reporting standards to celebrity news.I guess as long as people are willing to settle for make believe they see no reason to seek the truth. But that's not news-it's called fiction.
Thank you for a well reported story that is current "news".

And why would Berry Gordy or Forest Lawn want an announcement of where Jackson is at this time? The fan,(atics) have set up camp in front of the Jackson home in Encino.

The disruptive behavior would continue at Forest Lawn. Silence or denial simply allows a heated public to cool.

I live in the NYC area and I buy the Post and Daily News every day (the News is the more substantive of the two). So I can tell you that Steve Goldstein was credited for the picture. And also, after reading this, I can breathe a sigh of relief that the Gordy crypt story isn't true. As a fan, I do NOT want his corpse to be stolen or mutilated in any way. How would one explain *that* to his three young children?

Also hilarious was NBC correspondent Michael Okwu reporting from outside Forest Lawn, telling viewers that Betty White is buried there.

Meredith Veiera had to tell him that Betty White is in fact alive.

This stuff is wonderful comic relief at a sad time.

If you ask me, they should let his "remains" rest in peace. Isn't it bad enough knowing that a child molester is out of the realm of possibly hurting another child? We all know he was guilty, why else would he pay a settlement to one boy's family?
All I say is, " Let him rot in hell where he belongs"!!!!!!!

::We all know he was guilty, why else would he pay a settlement to one boy's family?::

Michael Jackson always paid a settlement to deal with legal affairs guilty or innocent as a means of not having to go to court and have something drag out for potentially years. I am laughing when I read people continue to perpetuate this rumor yet they are dead silent (pun intended) when confronted with the fact that both of his 'accusers' had criminal histories of suing people for false claims in their past. Interesting, no?

Prediction: an iconic, substantial memorial suitable for someone of Jackson's stature takes time and planning. That's either under commission, or...Neverland will become Graceland West.

From a financial/estate perspective, the latter would be their best arrangement, and it would certainly be quite a monument as well. I'd wager on the latter.

I couldn't even imagine knowing my loved ones body was being moved from here to there or just sitting in a temp controlled room in a funeral home. I hope everything comes to a close really soon so MJ can rest in peace and his family can begin the rough task of moving on.

I sure hope, as "Dave" so eloquently put it..(by the way, well said Dave) that Micheal's remains will soon find there final resting place so his heartbroken family (especially his children!!) can have some closure and start the healing process. As for his remains, I certainly hope they can find a special place that only they know about so that his grave isn't disturbed as in the case of Elvis'.But then again I would hope that just maybe they'll have a place just outside of Micheal's grave for his fan's (such as myself) to go to,to place flower's, cards, etc. That would be special for everyone as we ALL grieve and mourn Micheal's passing. R.I.P our beloved King of Pop, You will be missed greatly!!!!!!

I enjoy spending time exploring cemeteries, reading and photographing headstones of celebrities and civilians alike, and learning about the lives and deaths of these so-called "permanent residents" of the graveyards and mausoleums. This blog chronicles those experiences.

One of the cemeteries I'm most interested in these days is Grand View Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif. I wrote about its legal problems for the LA Daily News' community hub, ValleyNews.com from August 2006 to December 2008, when Valley News ceased operations. In response to reader requests to have one central source of information, I created and continue to maintain Grand View Memorial Park (dot) Info.
