Not for lack of trying on the part of Mrs. Poncher mind you. She put his crypt above Marilyn Monroe up for auction for a second time a few weeks ago, with no success. Go here to read my August 20 report on her first attempt, which also went bust.

While there investigating, I had to admire a gorgeous display of white and pink roses in a tall, elegent glass vase, left for MM by a ardent admirer named Stuart. Yeah, I'm snoopy and checked the cards That's cardS. All four of them. That kind of devotion deserves some recognition, I say. My graving companion, mortified at my lack of shame, asked if I ever thought about being a detective. Every day, pal. Every day.
