It was great to have Grand View open to the public during this holiday season. While Thanksgiving Day was a tad slow, many visitors came to tend graves and pay respects to loved ones on Christmas Day (despite the rain!), New Year's Day and Armenian Christmas.
Thank you to all the volunteers who made room in their schedules during this busy time to ensure that the gates remained open -- in particular Linda Mustion, Fran Hartman and Mary Der-Parseghian.

It looked like we might not get in on Armenian Christmas (Jan. 6) when we discovered the city lock on Grand View gates, which has been decommissioned in lieu of a cemetery-owned lock, had mistakenly been locked after crews cleaned trash cans after New Year's Day....
But by 12:12pm we were in, thanks to a quick response by city workers with the key after Security Guard John made some calls. Thanks, guys! You saved the day for a lot of visitors!
